So the purpose of this build is to just lay down marks and make it extremely unwise and ineffective for the baddies to attack anyone but you.  In order to do this we mark 2 people with braidman's Weapon and have group defense (pick up Mark of Warding if you get DM approval for -4 on all marks) and then just sit there and soak up the damage and get healed.  If need be you can even heal yourself or others.  At epic you can Daze with the now at will Weight of Earth + Overwhelming Impact.  The goal of this build is not to do damage or anything like that, but just to be a really solid defender that no one can really do much around if you don't want them to.

Comments/questions/suggestions always welcome
I'm working on a slightly similar build, so I've found a couple items that might assist your build, they might not, as I don't know every item/power by heart like some (so there might be stacking concerns I'm unaware of)...

1 - Battle Standard of Honor (AV) inflicts another -1 to hit allies in a burst 5
2 - Crown of Eyes (AV) negates the CA enemies get for flanking you
3 - Aversion Staff (PHB3) grants +2 to defenses against marked enemies (I think)
4 - Daunting Challenge (MP) affects your marks
Eyes In the Back of your Head does the same thing as Crown and doesn't take an item slot.  This is not a very feat intensive build.  also Battle Standard is a great idea...What does Daunting Challenge do?
Also, another item, I've noticed that many people miss this.

You have bard MC at 8 and fighter MC at 18

You can devote an epic feat to Multiclass Mastery (AP; Level 21 Bard) at 21+ and pick the MCs you want to keep (detailed explanation below) then retrain out the previous feats.  You won't lose the MM feat, cause it satisfies it's own prerequisite of being a Bard.

So what you do --
You take a Bardic MC feat that you DO NOT WANT to keep at any level
At 21 (or later) you retrain the other feat you want (in this case the lvl 18 Fighter MC feat) to Multiclass Mastery, with the two options for it, you take the same Fighter MC feat, and the Bard MC feat you want to keep.
Then at 22 (or later) you can retrain out the low-level Bard MC feat to something more useful.

For the cost of a couple retrains and an epic feat, you just gained an extra feat slot to spend as you choose. You're a Bard at all levels, if you do things in the right order, and the MM feat serves as its own prereq, so you're solid.  You can also perform this sort of feat rearrangement with a build that MCs to bard (or out of) and takes a power-swap feat, as they all have the [Multiclass] tag.

oh, nm, Daunting requires Combat Challenge, even tho it works on generic marks.  As a MC fighter you don't actually have the CC feature.
I don't know whether or not you've read the Sir Marksalot thread but you may get a few ideas through reading the discussion there.

The Death Metal link in my signature is of a similar theme but relies on revenant survivability to stay alive.

Daunting Challenge requires the Combat Challenge Class feature so no dice :-(

sweet I'll do that then.  Sounds like a good idea.  Then i should have enough feats for Epic Will then too

going to update the build after tuesday's updates.  Going to take Multiclass Mastery for Fighter + Warden, and use the Bard MC to get Bluff instead of Perception, and then use Warden to get Perception.  Then going to get Sudden Roots so that OAs daze too.  Going to drop Untiring Virtue.
With MC Warden you can also take Dilletente's Mark which lets you mark with your dilettente power.
I was toying with a Hospitaler, myself, and I ended up changing it into a Cleric|Paladin which I liked a good bit better than going either full cleric or paladin.  You give up Channel Divinity, Lay On Hands, a feat for Hybrid Talent, and your Divine Challenge sucks until Paragon, but you get much better healing, the ability to be fully competent at a range (useful for keeping Divine Challenge working and for the 5 move from heavy armor), party-friendly AoE, lots of buffs, and the extra selection of powers that hybrid gives.

Going Str/Wis like I did also shored up the Fortitude stat.  I just hate doubling up on a Cha/Wis, myself, especially for a guy in the Defender role.  It does waste 2 of the Hospitaler's powers, but Reserve Maneuver can cover for one of them.

Hybriding Cleric lets you use Wisdom for the Hospitaler as a primary stat, thus maximizing the Hospitaler's best ability.  That extra range also potentially lets you maintain Divine Challenge while running circles around an enemy the controllers are slowing, immobilizing and dazing
Updated to without windrise ports, and added Sudden roots for OA dazing.  Updated the items to make it more effective (dropped the Symbol of Champion's order down to a +5 to make room for more expensive stuff like better boots etc.)
Survived Nerfbat untouched.  anyone got anything else to say/suggest?
For me the layout in the first post is corrupted and unviewable.
