MONEY , table(s)

Moolah 1 is the DMG p.143 chart.
It agrees with http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=16300652&postcount=1

Moolah 2 is the DMG p.124-129 chart.
It agrees with http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=16251906&postcount=1

Look for the clicky box in both.

Moolah 3 is the DMG p.126 Combining Parcels Maximum total. Monsters and NPC's can use.

Moolah 4 is largely Theoretical. NPC's may have even more moolah thanks to DMG p.188 10. Choose Rituals. Combine that with self financing of the rituals via slightly different Parcels, and an assumption of 5 to 1 price value of said rituals, and you get a number that Squirreloid has already said is very bad tactics.

Moolah 5 is only currently Theoretical. This is the P.125 1 Character value, i.e. solo.

Commentary :

Moolah1-1st is speculateable as to what a level 0 Magic Item is worth, and it's equivalent cash.
Moolah1-30th could possibly be 14,625,000 if you feel a 31st level item should be 2 30th level items.
Moolah1-All are potentially higher 10-40% , on the Magic Items, but not the cash, and the items may have been legitimately adventured for, and hence be worth exactly as listed. Average might be 15-20% higher.
Moolah2-1st + 2nd are "~~" because the parcels can't be equalized. It's possible to have about 1800 gp each around the mid point of 2nd level IF you have no treasure for the rest of the level, except for the last encounter, so long as it is the 9th or 10th parcel.
Moolah2-4th is rounded up 1gp.
Moolah2-10th is rounded down 40 gp.
Moolah2-All are assumed to be lower due to various survival issues, like food.
Moolah3-all , hey , NPC's can have more moolah than PC's up to level 10; then play about the same til level 25.
Moolah4-all are the top 3 of parcels 1, 2, 5, and 6; except for -28 and -29 which are 5, 6, and 7. Then the gold goes to component costs for rituals. The 5 to 1 ratio is assumed, but ~median of most rituals. Then you get an approximate number. It's relatively meaningless. No NPC will use all of their gold for rituals.
Moolah5-13 and 23 are rounded down. The CO-board will use this # eventually.

Personally, I like the range of numbers. I suppose the variability might cause some problems.

Pray for my-kitty-avatar's Tail , and the tail MIGHT pray for you.

Nitpick: At first level, you start with 100 GP. Period.
Mountain Cleave Rule: You can have any sort of fun, including broken, silly fun, so long as I get to have that fun too (e. g., if you can warp reality with your spells, I can cleave mountains with my blade).
Nitpick: At first level, you start with 100 GP. Period.

This would be at the end of adventuring for that level (before leveling) strictly speaking. At least for m2.

I was annoyed at the wealth mechanics in 4E before, I'm mostly amused with how it all compares though.
Minor update to the OP.

Yeah, 1st level has the greatest variability.

100 gold or
100 gold worth of items
NPCs can have 100 gold distributed and armor
the 2 item + waffle moolah1 number
any of 10 parcels
any of 10*9 parcels
any of 10*9*8 parcels
possibly nothing
{ ... are naked kobolds "evil" ... }

and it can't be balanced from one PC to the next.

Added Moolah 4.

Notice the spread is about 3 levels wide. That's a little bit tighter than the NPCs/PCs spread in 3.5 Edition, but only on the high side. On the low side, some monsters and NPC's have nothing or next to nothing.

It's possible that in a 1 on 1 fight, a PC vs. an NPC that's the same class, less stuff, a few higher magic items,
might be a good fight. The game assumes 5 on 1, and the NPC probably is dead pretty quick.

Added Moolah 5.
A table could be contructed for party sizes of 2-4, and 6-10.
I won't do it because I think I've made whatever point it is, I was trying to make.

It occurs to me a Theoretical Table could be used.
You can face an up to +7 level monster.
If it's a Minion, if you can't beat it ... well, you're not a role-player.
It has access to Rituals and Magic Items waayyy above your level.
Just tell the DM your wishlist ahead of time.

Here's a little table I whipped up, showing your expected gold by level in LFR. This assumes that you always take the "more gold" option, and that you play low-tier/high-tier about 50/50.

Code:

start start gain end
level GP GP
1 0 125 125
1 125 125 250
1 250 125 375
2 375 125 500
2 500 125 625
2 625 125 750
3 750 175 925
3 925 175 1100
3 1100 175 1275
4 1275 175 1450
4 1450 175 1625
4 1625 175 1800
5 1800 225 2025
5 2025 225 2250
5 2250 225 2475
6 2475 400 2875
6 2875 400 3275
6 3275 400 3675
7 3675 400 4075
7 4075 400 4475

I would hardly call ~4500 GP after twenty adventures a lot of money. And remember, this is assuming you always take gold and never take a potion or magic item.

Good stuff for LFR money.

Moolah1-30th could possibly be 14,625,000 if you feel a 31st level item should be 2 30th level items.

Both are definitively calculable. A level 6 item is 5 times the price of a level 1 item. The scaling holds true throughout: five items of level X are equal in value to one item of level X+5. Thus, a theoretical level 0 item is valued at 200 gp (one fifth that of a level five item), and a theoretical level 31 item is valued at 5,625,000 gp (five times that of a level 26 item).
From: http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=17572730&postcount=8

Good stuff for LFR money.

That table is mostly bogus, as it shows only the gold that is found or acquired in adventures if the PC decides to never select a magic item.

It does not show the magic items that a PC selects (or "bundles" in LFR terminology). To fix that, assume that at every PC level they choose an item of their level +3 (it varies anywhere from 1-4 over their level usually). Also, assume that as a result of this they didn't choose the "more gold" option once every 3 levels or so.

In short, it needs to be redone to match your other tables.

I'll link in the recent Money thread for LFR bundles.

I don't really understand what goes on in LFR. I mean 4e has enough weird things going on, without trying to place a different money system on it. Meh, whatever.

I'm also thinking of how an MMA arena thingy, would work with the Money tables. Ideas ??
