Discussion:
Let’s start this off by looking at Ned’s ability scores. A natural 20 in strength gives him excellent HP by virtue of the Auspicious Birth background, an insane Fortitude defense which will definitely be a big help, and a big attack bonus, which works since we want Ned’s attacks to hit. Ned also has a 12 in Constitution for an extra healing surge, a 12 in Dexterity for some extra initiative, and a 12 in Wisdom for a small bonus to OA’s from Combat Superiority. This array leaves Ned with a pitiful Reflex and Will defense though, but it’s a necessary sacrifice.

Ned is a brawler fighter, which means grabbing just about everything is his forte. Ned is a controller type of defender; he locks down foes in positions where his allies can finish them off. He’s decent at it at first level, but he’ll gradually expand the bag of tricks he has. He goes with Combat Superiority over Combat Agility, because the former is more useful over his career and synergizes better with Grappling Strike.

Ned’s first level feats define him as a warrior from Foamgather. Foamgather heritage gives him a decent Endurance skill boost, and allows him to fight well in water, if it ever comes up. The real purpose of the feat is to get him Foamgather Warrior, which gives him proficiency with his signature weapon, the net, gives him a bonus to attacks with that weapon, and gives him the Net Snare power. Nets give Ned a good ranged basic attack he can use at any time too, although the range kind of sucks.

His At-Will attacks include Cleave, which is decent now, and allows him to damage multiple foes if the situation calls for it. He also has Grappling Strike, which gives him an opportunity attack that immobilizes foes as well as just being a good standard attack to have. Finally, Net Snare allows Ned to grab foes at a range, something most Brawlers can’t do. It also provides a little forced movement, which means this is a good pick over Grappling Strike if you need a guy somewhere else. It sacrifices damage for these effects, though.

Ned’s encounter attack is Takedown attack, which is a great move to open a battle with. A charge ending in prone is just a great move in general. Finally, Villain’s Menace provides Ned with a great encounter-long buff versus an enemy. A good power to have in Ned’s arsenal.

Level 2

Changes:
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Feat: Inescapable Hold (MP2)
New Utility Power: Forceful Drag (MP 2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 1,920):
L3 (680 gp): +1 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L2 (520 gp): +1 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Distance Net (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,920 gp

Discussion:
Not a bad level for you overall. Your feat choice is Inescapable Hold, which makes your bloated Fortitude defense the wall your foes must overcome to escape Ned’s Grasp. Forceful Drag is also great, allowing you to get a foe to a position you want it to be in.

As for items, I’m only going to be mostly listing items that you could be expected to get no matter what (Common items). Like Veteran’s Armor, which will help you with your Action Point rounds. The Flail of Wind synergizes well with Net Snare now, but it will definitely expand in usefulness, as Ned grows more powerful. The additional Distance Net gives you the option to hit far away foes if you really need it. Finally, Amulet of Protection covers your bases in the defenses department.

Level 3

Changes:
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Rain of Blows (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 2,560):
L3 (680 gp): +1 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L2 (520 gp): +1 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Distance Net (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,920 gp

Discussion:
While Ned isn’t a striker secondary Fighter by any means, Rain of Blows allows him to strike an enemy over and over for good damage one round if he feels the need to bring the pain onto an enemy. There aren’t any real new items he needs, so feel free to buy whatever else you like with your money.

Level 4

Changes:
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (21), +1 Dexterity (13)
New Feat: Master at Arms (HotFL)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 3,200):
L3 (680 gp): +1 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L2 (520 gp): +1 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Distance Net (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,920 gp

Discussion:
Not much to say about this level. You get a bonus to ability scores, and you get Master at Arms, which gives you an attack bonus that scales up, and lets you switch to your Distance Net quickly if you need to.

Level 5

Changes:
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Rain of Steel (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 4,480):
L3 (680 gp): +1 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L2 (520 gp): +1 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Distance Net (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,920 gp

Discussion:
This level, you pick up Rain of Steel, which really works in tandem with your grabbing attacks; dude stays near you, they’re gonna get hurt.

Level 6

Changes:
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Dauntless Endurance
New Feat: Net Training (D368)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 6,400):
L8 (3,400 gp): +2 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L2 (520 gp): +1 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Distance Net (AV)
L1 (360 gp): +1 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 4,640 gp

Discussion:
This level is nice to you. You get Dauntless Endurance, which allows you to rethrow a failed save (an excellent pickup). You upgrade your primary weapon. And you get net training, which makes every attack you hit a foe with slow that enemy. And while slowing by itself is a sweet benefit, you get to capitalize on it even more in coming levels.

Level 7

Changes:
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Come and Get It (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 9,600):
L8 (3,400 gp): +2 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L7 (2,600 gp): +2 Veteran’s Drakescale Armor (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Distance Net (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 9,600 gp

Discussion:
This is also a nice level. In addition to upgrading all of your key equipment, you get the fantastic Come and Get It, possibly the best Fighter power in the heroic tier. Combined with Net Training’s slowing effect, a bunch of enemies around you won’t be moving for a while.

Level 8

Changes:
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (22), +1 Dexterity (14)
New Feat: World Serpent’s Grasp (HotFK)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 12,800):
L8 (3,400 gp): +2 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L7 (2,600 gp): +2 Veteran’s Drakescale Armor (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Distance Net (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 9,600 gp

Discussion:
You ready for awesome this level? Ned’s reverence for the Primal Spirits gets him World Serpent’s Grasp, which allows him to know slowed or immobilized opponents prone. And since all of Ned’s attacks slow enemies, he should be sending foes to the ground constantly. His boosts to Strength and Dexterity also net him extra Fortitude, Reflexes, and accuracy with his attacks.

Level 9

Changes:
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Bedeviling Assault (HotFK)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 16,000):
L8 (3,400 gp): +2 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L7 (2,600 gp): +2 Veteran’s Scale Armor (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Distance Net (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 9,600 gp

Discussion:
You get Bedeviling Assault this level, which basically should reduce an enemy to paste in a few rounds if your allies all gang up on the target.

Level 10

Changes:
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Clearheaded
New Feat: Deft Hurler Style

Magic Items (Expected GP = 22,400):
L8 (3,400 gp): +2 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L7 (2,600 gp): +2 Veteran’s Drakescale Armor (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Distance Net (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 9,600 gp

Discussion:
Got some nice goodies here. First off, Ned picks up Clearheaded, which allows him to shrug off some nasty effects that generally result from his Will defense being targeted, and since his Will defense sucks, its good to have. Also, Ned gets Deft Hurler Style, which changes his Cleave power from a small amount of damage on another enemy to a full-on At-Will multi-marking power.

L11 – Improved Defenses (HotFL)

Changes
+7 HP
New Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (23), +1 Constitution (13), +1 Dexterity (15), +1 Intelligence (9), +1 Wisdom (13), +1 Charisma (11)
New Encounter Attack Power: Bludgeoning Vise (MP2)
New Feat: Improved Defenses (HotFL)
New Paragon Path: Adroit Explorer (PHB 2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 32,000):
L13 (17,000 gp): +3 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L7 (2,600 gp): +2 Veteran’s Drakescale Armor (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Distance Net (AV)
L6 (1,800 gp): +2 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 30,400 gp

Discussion:
Ned hits paragon tier, and since there aren’t really any paragon paths that speak to him, Ned goes with the tested and true Adroit Explorer, picking up Bludgeoning Vise as his Ambitious Effort, which gives him a nice dazing attack, in addition to getting damage resistance during action points. Ned also picks up Improved Defenses, which make him even harder to escape from when grabbing someone, and he upgrades his primary and secondary weapons.

Level 12

Changes
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Destined for Greatness (MP2)
New Feat: Dragging Flail (MP)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 48,000):
L13 (17,000 gp): +3 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L12 (13,000 gp): +3 Veteran’s Wyvernscale Armor (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Distance Net (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 48,000 gp

Discussion:
This is another great level for Ned. Destined for Greatness helps keep him alive when he fails a save, and the Dragging Flail feat allows him to slide every enemy he knocks prone. And because of earlier feats he took, that should happen often. This also synergizes with the Flail of Winds to send enemies all over the place. Finally, Ned also upgrades his armor and amulet as well.

Level 13

Changes
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Stranglehold (MP2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 64,000):
L13 (17,000 gp): +3 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L12 (13,000 gp): +3 Veteran’s Wyvernscale Armor (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Distance Net (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 48,000 gp

Discussion:
You lose slamming rush, but in its place, take Stranglehold, which grabs, dazes, and can be used as an opportunity attack. Nice!

Level 14

Changes
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (24), +1 Dexterity (16)
New Feat: Armor Specialization (Scale) (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 80,000):
L13 (17,000 gp): +3 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L12 (13,000 gp): +3 Veteran’s Wyvernscale Armor (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Distance Net (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 48,000 gp

Discussion:
A boost to Strength boosts your accuracy once again, and Armor Specialization (Scale) gives Ned’s AC a bonus as well. Not too bad.

Level 15

Changes
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Dust Storm Assault (DSCG)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 112,000):
L13 (17,000 gp): +3 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L12 (13,000 gp): +3 Veteran’s Wyvernscale Armor (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Distance Net (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 48,000 gp

Discussion:
This level, Ned trades in Bedeviling Assault for Dust Storm Assault, which allows him to strike at foes that attack his allies and thought that they were beyond his reach.

Level 16

Changes
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Painful Drag (DSCG)
Retrained Utility Power: Glowering Threat (HotFL)
New Feat: Pin Down (D368)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 160,000):
L18 (85,000 gp): +4 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L12 (13,000 gp): +3 Veteran’s Wyvernscale Armor (AV)
L11 (45,000 gp): +4 Distance Net (AV)
L11 (9,000 gp): +3 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 152,000 gp

Discussion:
Oh boy, where to start? First off, Ned gets Painful Drag, which is similar to forceful drag but has a combat advantage rider instead of knocking an enemy prone. Since you knock prone enough as it is, Forceful Drag is then retrained into Glowering Threat, which basically makes a group of enemies impotent unless they attack Ned. Ned also gets the Pin Down feat, which makes the prone enemies he grabs incapable of standing up unless they escape his grab first. Finally, Ned upgrades his primary and secondary weapons.

Level 17

Changes
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Vicious Uppercut (MP2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 240,000):
L18 (85,000 gp): +4 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L17 (65,000 gp): +4 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Distance Net (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 240,000 gp

Discussion:
In addition to upgrading his Armor and Amulet, Ned picks up the awesome Vicious Uppercut, which hurts an enemy before a stunning unarmed attack is made. He loses Rain of Blows to get it, but it’s awesome enough that it’s worth it to lose that power.

Level 18

Changes
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (25), +1 Dexterity (17)
New Feat: Crushing Pin (MP2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 320,000):
L18 (85,000 gp): +4 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L17 (65,000 gp): +4 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Distance Net (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 240,000 gp

Discussion:
All right, the main change you’ll be seeing here is Crushing Pin, which allows Ned to deal some damage to enemies who fail to escape his grabs. A little extra damage never hurts you.

Level 19

Changes
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Smash and Grab (MP)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 400,000):
L18 (85,000 gp): +4 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L17 (65,000 gp): +4 Veteran’s Wyrmmscale Armor (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Distance Net (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 240,000 gp

Discussion:
You get the awesome Smash and Grab this level. While the Temporary HP you get from it is low, and you miss out on the axe, hammer, or mace rider, the grabbing part of this is so awesome that you don’t need that other stuff anyway. A worthy successor to Villain’s Menace, which is retired.

Level 20

Changes
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Daily Attack Power: Bloodied Greatness (PHB2)
New Feat: Brawler Guard

Magic Items (Expected GP = 560,000):
L18 (85,000 gp): +4 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L17 (65,000 gp): +4 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Distance Net (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 240,000 gp

Discussion:
The Adroit Explorer capstone, Bloodied Greatness, is pretty awesome. You also get Brawler Guard, for a small boost to AC.

L23 (425,000 gp): +5 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L17 (65,000 gp): +4 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Distance Net (AV)
L16 (45,000 gp): +4 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 740,000 gp

Discussion:
Upon entering the epic tier, Ned assumes the destiny of an Indomitable Champion, which rockets his strength and dexterity scores up. He also picks up Rapid Combat Challenge, which allows him to respond to multiple foes, replaces Bludeoning Vise with another Stranglehold, and ups his primary and secondary weapon.

Level 22

Changes
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Undeniable Challenge (MP2)
New Feat: Mobile Warrior (MP)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 1,200,000):
L23 (425,000 gp): +5 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (325,000 gp): +5 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,200,000 gp

Discussion:
Ned ups his armor and amulet this level. He also picks up Undeniable Challenge, which makes him the focus of attention, and Mobile Warrior, which let him be where he needs to be as he hits enemies with his net. A good level.

Level 23

Changes
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Warrior’s Urging (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 1,600,000):
L23 (425,000 gp): +5 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (325,000 gp): +5 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,200,000 gp

Discussion:
You upgrade Come and Get It to it’s Epic level version, Warrior’s Urging. Not much else to say here.

Level 24

Changes
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (29), +1 Dexterity (21)
New Feat: Flail Mastery (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 2,100,000):
L23 (425,000 gp): +5 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (325,000 gp): +5 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,200,000 gp

Discussion:
In addition to ability score boosts and an expanded crit range with your net attacks, your Epic Destiny gives you some extra HP and defenses at this level. Awesome!

Level 25

Changes
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Reaper’s Stance (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 2,800,000):
L23 (425,000 gp): +5 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (325,000 gp): +5 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 1,200,000 gp

Discussion:
You replace Rain of Steel with Reaper’s Stance this level. While the expanded crit range of the power is redundant, all the extra damage you’ll be handing out means you’ll hardly notice it.

Level 26

Changes
+6 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
New Utility Power: Epic Tenacity
New Feat: Martial Mastery (MP)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 4,000,000):
L23 (2,125,000 gp): +6 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (325,000 gp): +5 Veteran’s Wyrmscale Armor (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (225,000 gp): +5 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 3,800,000 gp

Discussion:
Ned gets Epic Tenacity this level, which is a “get out of death free” power, which should prove helpful. Ned also picks up Martial Mastery, which allows him to regain powers of his in the heat of combat. Finally, Ned upgrades his primary and secondary weapons to their final forms.

Level 27

Changes
+6 HP
New Encounter Attack Power: Trollclaw Grip (MP2)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 6,000,000):
L23 (2,125,000 gp): +6 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (1,625,000 gp): +6 Veteran’s Elderscale Armor (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 6,000,000 gp

Discussion:
Ned loses one of his uses of Stranglehold to pick up the awesome Trollclaw Grip, which should keep an enemy immobilized for quite some time. He also brings his armor and amulet up to their fullest potential.

Level 28

Changes
+7 HP
+1 to attacks, defenses, and checks
Ability Score Boosts: +1 Strength (30), +1 Dexterity (22)
New Feat: Superior Initiative (PHB3)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 8,000,000):
L23 (2,125,000 gp): +6 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (1,625,000 gp): +6 Veteran’s Elderscale Armor (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 6,000,000 gp

Discussion:
Ned’s Strength and Dexterity go up as high as they will go, and Ned picks up Superior Initiative, because going first is nice.

Level 29

Changes
+6 HP
New Daily Attack Power: Force the Battle (PHB)

Magic Items (Expected GP = 10,000,000):
L23 (2,125,000 gp): +6 Flail of Winds Net (D391)
L22 (1,625,000 gp): +6 Veteran’s Elderscale Armor (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Distance Net (AV)
L21 (1,125,000 gp): +6 Amulet of Protection (PHB)
TOTAL: 6,000,000 gp

Discussion:
You lose Sand Storm Assault, and pick up Force the Battle, which is a front runner for best Fighter Power ever.

Discussion:
At the end of his long, winding road to power, Ned gets a few more things in his arsenal. He gets the Indomitable Champion utility, Unmatched Defense, which he can use to basically make 1 attack a day against him miss, and Epic Fortitude, so that not even the Gods can escape his grip.

Build Goal and Tactics
Ned is a simple fisherman from Foamgather, but he's never let anything in his net get away. His indomitable fortitude and all kinds of tricks he uses to knock his enemy down and slide them about ensure that his enemies do what he wants them to. Ned starts out as a typical Brawler fighter, albiet using an unusual weapon (the net). Gradually though, his skill with the net improves as he grows in level. Eventually, by mid paragon tier, Ned should be able to knock enemies prone and slide them around regularly. How does he do this?

Net Training slows enemies
World Serpent's Grasp knocks prone enemies that have been slowed
Dragging Flail allows Ned to slide enemies he knocks prone
Pin Down forces prone enemies to stay prone while Ned grabs them

Additionally, Ned also possesses Net Snare, which allows him to grab enemies that are several squares away from him, an ability that most Brawlers will envy. He can also draw the attention of multiple foes if he has to with Cleave enhanced by Deft Hurler style if the situation warrants it.

 Other Minutae
Special thanks to lordduskblade, whose format I've shamelessly ripped off and whose Fighter guide helped determine some aspects of the build.
Reserved for variants, probably based around items, since I'm horrible with item optimization.
One more for good measure. To use an old acronym, PEACH.

The Indomitable Champion isn't a particularly good epic destiny, and certainly isn't as good for you as others are. Ceaseless Guardian, for example, allows you to use immediate actions and opportunity actions even when dazed or stunned (plus, a much better power for avoiding death). You don't get +Dex and you don't get the +1 to your defences, but you should buy the Belt of Vim (which is a common item) for +3 to Fortitude to more than make up for that loss anyway.

I don't think initiative is all that important for you. You specialize, in particular, in the ability to take your foes by the face and dragging them away from your allies. Going first is helpful, but I might suggest taking Agile Superiority instead of Superior Initiative, to make your opportunity attacks something to be feared even more.

Otherwise, this looks very solid. The ability to hold things from a distance is great, because it means you could grab as many as three enemies at once, locking them in place. The combination of slow + prone + grab looks like it works really well. As with any brawler, the only concern is that you may truly invoke the wrath of your foes and get chewed up. But that just means you're doing your job really, really well.

I don't use emoticons, and I'm also pretty pleasant. So if I say something that's rude or insulting, it's probably a joke.
...err...uhh....is this build different than the other one?
@ Dielzen: No. I just reformatted the title of this thread: it seems a lot more legitimate that way.

@ Caeric: Part of the reason Indomitable Champion was chosen was for the extra toughness. 20 Extra HP is nice. Still, you make some good points, and yeah, I'm not exactly the best at item optimization. A Belt of Vim would probably be a great addition. Agile Superiority is probably great too. And I suppose being able to take opportunity actions while dazed or stunned means I maintain a grab even while those effects occur? If so, that just might be better after all.
ah, well, check the other thread, I had some commentary about your accuracy, or something.
I linked this in the Complete Collection of Character Build Links in the Example Builds under Fighter.

Also, did you consider using Net Specialist anywhere in this build? That feat power is more win than any other daily power a net-wielding brawler could have IMHO. Great build! Cheers, VK
I don't know, maybe it's the computer I'm on currently, but I have to scroll left and right constantly to read everything here.  Maybe b/c of the size of the picture?

It's certainly cooler than the one in the previous thread, but the scrolling is a pain.

Other than that, I love builds that center on unique weapons, and was glad to run across it.  Thanks for the hard work, hope you don't think I am being nit-picky.
Other Minutae

I echo wrswldo. Could you make the first post image smaller, so we don't have to scroll back and forth to read the post? This is an awesome build!

hey

i dont know if anyone still checks these posts but if you do could you please give a sample combat involving nets and a level one build of this character. i am new to 4th edition and would love to get to know the mechanics. thanks!

It doesn't work that way. You're expected to:

a.) read the appropriate guide for whatever PC you're trying to build

b.) reference any previous build(s) of a similar nature

c.) create your own build using the CB

d.) post it for review, and harsh critique, seeing as you did come to CharOp

following those steps inevitably will lead you to either:

-advice which will be helpful to your build

-OP'ers pushing a "Super OP" build that not only does what you want, but 10x better and has more complicated workings (and drives a pimped out Escalade while doing so)

-complete destruction of your build concept, and obliteration of your hopes and dreams

Depends on who happens to be on that day.

*EDIT* And you Necro'd. Which is semi-frowned upon.

As Tech said, Necro of a 3 year old build is silly, the level 1 build is included in the original post, and I'm not going to spend the 4 hours teaching you how to play 4e. If you have the book, read it, if you don't have the book, go hang out with whichever friend you're playing with has the book and read it. Practice sessions are also a good idea, just google search for sample characters or even sample combats and just run through it.

Thanks for the responses guys. as you can see it was my first post ever so i am not sure what necro'ing a post is and i apologize if what i did was a faux pas. i do have th ebook and am reading through it. i will definitely google some sample combats. I used to play and Dm 3.5 quite often but this is my first foray into 4th edition and this website has been incredibly interesting. i have learned a ton by reading random posts.

Thanks again!
