d20 to Lost Worlds
Experience & Conversion Notes

Why do I want this? The simplest answer is to borrow game elements. In some cases those things are twice removed (add ons to d20) but my brain wants the middle step. Also it is kind of interestng to look at say a 5th level D&D character and figure his hitpoints mean the same thing approximately and he is about the same as a Lost Worlds character with a +2 across the board with some few moves at +3.

The quick down and dirty: , 1 LW Experience Point is approximately equivalent to 5 of the d20 D&D experience points.
The above makes some definite assumptions, and has some caveats as well.

Core Calculation :

Washing aside class variations, approximately 4 body points are an "average level" of increase for D&D.... essentially 1 over all level in Lost Worlds is 2 levels in D&D in Lost Worlds. At first Level this corresponds to approximately  4 areas getting 10 to 14
experience per done 4 times...(hand wave hand wave smoke and mirrors) ~ 200 LW experience points advancement  equals in d20,  1000 experience points.

Not Quite Perfect The 5x may be an exageration, One thing I am not accounting for is that most D&D characters get some non combat skills and what not in addition to the combat abilitites for those 5x experience.  I am inclined to give those other areas independent advancement... but the whole needs some integration.

In Gladitorial Lost Worlds experience is earned the old fashioned way..... by killin stuff ... ok yeah you can get experience even if they
escape... this is analogous to old D&D's system.  The d20 variant i have most familiariy with is the Wheel of Time version (which uses a somewhat subjective time spent adventuring and adventurer level as the basis for gaining experience points - I will look up in core D&D a little more as I know they have a value for defeating an adversary that I can supplement my current guestimations) and improve the accuracy of the aforementioned conversions.
