Description: IRON WYRMLINGS ARE SOME OF THE WEAKEST wyrmlings, but they are born in larger clutches and have a stronger tendency toward social behavior when first hatched. They rarely come out of hiding, except to swiftly strike at the prey they are learning to hunt before diving back into the shadows. They prefer caves but are almost as comfortable hiding beneath the underbrush and dead leaves on the forest floor. They emerge to attack only if they greatly outsize or outnumber their target, and they try to avoid prolonged battles.
An iron wyrmling's scales are a dark rust color that flakes off in a sort of molting as the dragon approaches the young stage of its development.
