The attack comes from far enough away that you react instinctively to leap away from its brunt.

Trigger: You take damage from an area attack or a ranged attack against AC or Reflex.

Effect: You take only half damage from the triggering attack. After the attack is resolved, you can jump up to half your speed. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
