This Paladin Power Pack is the first half of a set that deals with Divine Challenge.
The powers are all made to work with the paladin’s defining ability in some way. I’ve felt that there should be more powers that key off of this ability, just like there are abilities for other melee classes that trigger off of marking, Hunter’s Quarry, etc. I’ve done my best to make these powers compatible with other powers of there level and to fit within the game framework without unbalancing things.

Level 1 Powers
Disheartening Challenge
Paladin Attack 1
You taunt your challenged foe and watch the fear rise from within him.
Encounter * Divine, Fear, Radiant
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One enemy
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One enemy
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Hit: [1w] + Charisma modifier radiant damage. If the target is under the effect of your divine challenge, you choose for your divine challenge to be removed from the target. If you do so, the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn. You may not use divine challenge again until the end of your next turn.
Weakening Challenge
Paladin Attack 1
All the righteous fury of your god is focused upon this enemy, drawing his power from him.
Encounter * Divine, Radiant
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One enemy
Attack: Strength vs. Fortitude
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One enemy
Attack: Strength vs. Fortitude
Hit: [1w] + Strength modifier radiant damage. If the target is under the effect of your divine challenge, you choose for your divine challenge to be removed from the target. If you do so, the target is weakened until the end of your next turn. You may not use divine challenge again until the end of your next turn.
Miss: No damage.
Level 3 Powers
Binding Challenge
Paladin Attack 3
Your divine light shines more brightly and compels your enemy strongly to focus on you.
Encounter * Divine, Charm, Radiant
Standard Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Target: One enemy
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Standard Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Target: One enemy
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Hit: [1w] + Charisma modifier radiant damage. Target must attack you on its next attack.
Ferocious Challenge
Paladin Attack 3
With a roar you attack your challenged foe, using the light of your challenge to sear his flesh.

Standard Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Target: One enemy
Attack: Strength vs. AC
Standard Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Target: One enemy
Attack: Strength vs. AC
Hit: [2w] + Strength Modifier + Wisdom modifier radiant damage.
Miss: No damage.
Level 6 Powers
Lasting Challenge
Paladin Utility 6
You bind your divine challenge with your opponent’s essence, ensuring that you remain a constant threat to him.
Daily * Divine
Minor Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Minor Action Melee weapon
Requirement: Target must be affected by your divine challenge.
Effect: Your divine challenge lasts on the target until the end of the encounter. It does not count as being under the affect of divine challenge for purposes of determining if you can divine challenge another creature.
Potent Challenge
Paladin Utility 6
The light of your divine challenge sears your opponent with increased fury.
Daily * Divine

Effect: Until the end of the encounter, your divine challenge deals extra damage equal to your Wisdom modifier when the ability triggers.
