You don’t expend a Daily power without just cause. For two years myself and At-Will’s contributors have wracked our brains trying to supply the best houserules and 4e design articles on the net. Whether you are interested in skill challenges, cursed items, using powers for roleplaying, terrifying, environment-altering monsters, At-Will supplies great content for no cost whatsoever, as frequently as we can.
I’ve tried deferring costs by having ads, but honestly, I hate having ads. Here’s where I expend the daily “Ask for Donations”. I pour lots of money and time into the site, and I want to pour more in. I just can’t justify it financially at this moment.
So I’m asking for your help. If At-Will has provided you with valuable tools and perspectives over the last few years, please consider a donation of any reasonable amount. There is a donation button on the site now, and I’ll include a donation link in this post.
(this is my first and last donation post. There is a reason it took a few years to get a donation button, and it’s not because I forgot it. )
Whether you do or do not donate, thank you for reading At-Will.
Look into flattr
That’s http://www.flattr.com
Step 1: Build up a small inventory (10 or so) of your Worldbreaker Solos.
Step 2: Write an eBook containing them
Step 3: ??? (no, seriously, I don’t know how to publish an e-book)
Step 4: Profit!
The internet has raised the bar in what I’m willing to pay for, but those things are too good for me not to buy.
I’d totally buy a world breaker e-book for $10 impulse, $20 planned purchase. Lookin here to donate a few bucks after I tidy up the ‘ol paypal account. Gotta pay it forward, ya know
I agree with the above, a world-breaker e-book would be purchased by me in a second. As it is, I have saved the links to each article on such and read them regularly.
Now, as for donations – I have never donated to a site. I consider it generally pointless, as if a free-site I read is closing, I’ll go read another free one and move on. Webcomics and gaming blogs are a dime a dozen online.
That being said, I have been reading at-will’s articles for two years. I have used worldbreakers 4 times since reading the article. Seven magic item descriptions in my games have been plucked from your articles. I have utilized most, if not all, of the skill challenges that have been presented. The use of at-will powers in non-combat situations has elvated our skill-challenges. Heck, last night I sent the worldbreaker links to a fellow encounters player because of a conversation he had on struggling with a solo fight this weekend.
To that end, I have donated. I would hate to see this site go away, as it’s one of the best out there for 4e. I didn’t have much to give, but I felt obligated, and honored, to do so.
Thanks so much for the kind words and the donation!
I am working on the worldbreaker stuff at the moment, and will make sure that that product is really really awesome.
I’m just glad that people are getting solid use out of the material in the site.
Of course always working on more awesome stuff. I am right now working on a troll worldbreaker — Kaimonn the Blooded.
Thanks again guys!
