The At-Will Team is hard at work (or hardly working? hardly….) And as always, we love getting feedback and suggestions from readers.

First things first, I want to direct your eyes to the left of the screen…your other left…there.  See that big red button?  Click that and suggest ideas or vote on ones you like.  That will help us direct our efforts to making this site as cool as possible for anyone who plays 4e.

The next bit is a little more lengthy. This is the part where I tell you what it is that I want to be doing with the site, and where I want to be going.

The first big big big thing, which you may or may not have heard, is that I’m involved in a daring and intrepid adventure of sorts with my fellow cohorts in gaming thought-crime, Jonathan Jacobs (of The Core Mechanic prestige) and Michael Brewer ( the wicked scientist behind MadBrewLabs).  The endeavor goes by the name of Nevermet Press and there will be more killer, system-independent content than you could dual-wield a pair of nunchucks at.  What you really want to do is subscribe to our e-mail list, and hold on to your hats until July 1st.  I’m excited just thinking about it. The most exciting part of being involved in Nevermet Press (besides being part of a A+ level team!) is you.  Nevermet Press is, community developed and community driven, system independent, and brings you stuff you can use today. Again, I’m incredibly excited and I hope you’ll get on the e-mail list and see what we’re about on July 1st.

But At-Will is not done!  I feel that At-Will is just beginning, and I’m chomping at the bit to get it out of the door of my mind and out to the blog.  I guess I’ve talked 4eTopia and the Skillforge up a lot  lately so I’ll leave that alone for now.  There will be, however, some changes on the main site’s focus.

You may have noticed that At-Will has, with the exception of Milambus’ excellent Time Stop round-up, been moving steadily away from the realm of news and reports of the latest/greatest.  I feel that news has a function, and there are a lot of sites that do it, and do it better than me.  What I really want to do is create game content.  While you will still see some great advice and some great news, the new focus of At-Will is going to be content.  More skill challenges. More items. More classes and races.  More encounters.   More character builds. More compelling content for use in your 4the edition games.  Instead of reviewing a book, we might give you an encounter using the book’s material, or list a few sample character builds using the latest “tech”.

I’ve been moving to this end over the past few months, and I hope you both see and enjoy the difference.  One of my biggest joys as a  blogger (and I swear to you I am not being shmaltzy or insincere) is giving back to the community and providing material that you can enjoy and/or use.

So, ummm, use that big read button or the comments field and let’s talk.
