Inside the Insider: The Compendium’s new look.

compendium

Where the old Compendium was a solid web application that did what it did and not much more, the new Compendium is just downright sexy.  Full of Web 2.0 goodness, easy printing, and overall just nice looking, I’m giving this a big thumbs up.  Awesome job on this.

What do you think of the new Compendium?

I like, a lot. It looks downright gorgeous, and copy & paste works properly in Firefox too, which is a huge improvement.

The only thing that’s missing now is the addition of definitions for conditions such as Staggered, Stunned, Prone, etc.

I think props goes out to Don over at Gaming In Code, who by the looks of his blog did the redesign (at least the code behind, not sure about graphics, that is most likely another dept.)

I don’t subscribe, but the demo looks pretty decent.

Hi greywulf! A condition reference is truly the only thing missing. I’m going to be using the heck out of the compendium now though, even without it.

@MadBrew thanks for the pointer to the site! Checked that out, some good stuff over there.

  5. The just pushed out a fix for a couple things:
    From http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=17964407&postcount=44)

1-Links to the items in the compendium are now fixed and working properly
2-The resizing issue appearing with IE browsers when the initial window is to small is fixed
3-From the list view you can right click to open the detailed entry into a separate tab, to support tabbed browsing.

  6. I like the look of it as well.

It’s a tremendous improvement, demonstrating WotC’s continuing improvement in their digital initiative.

Now let’s see the Gaming Table already! ;)
