Divinely Challenged: Our Houserule for Paladins

An epic bailout from my players last week was not completely fruitless. Two players showed up, and we hung out, talked shop, and played some video games.

I got to talking with Matt, who plays our party’s paladin, and was talking about how much divine challenge is starting to, well, suck. It doesn’t do enough damage to deter, isn’t “sticky”, and forces the player to chase it’s challenged foe around or lose it.

The one thing more difficult in 4e than 3.5E…

Is class creation.  Gone are the days when you just slap a BAB progression on to a spell list and a few nifty powers.  Voila, instant class.  4e is proving to be a real chore.  Speaking cynically for a second, does anyone think that the new feature-heavy classes some evil plot by WotC to keep people buying sourcebooks?  Making classes is time-intensive enough that I think it will dramatically lessen the amount of homebrew classes we see.

New Class: The Mindwitch, levels 1-3

I’ve made some monsters, played around with the game, and so I did what anyone interested in the guts would naturally do: make a new class.  I won’t ramble on too much, I’ll Just give it to you as it stands at the moment.  Critiques and comments welcome!
